Springfield House, Warmington

HollyhocksThe pretty village of Warmington is situated on the borders of Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. It is just minutes from the M40 and within easy reach of Stratford upon Avon, Kenilworth, Coventry , Oxford and Warwick. It is just within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many interesting properties and gardens to be found nearby.

Springfield House is one of the oldest houses in the village. It is Grade ll listed and was built of local Hornton stone around 1539. It was, for many years, a hostelry going by the name ‘At the Sign of the Cock’ – doubtless a reference to the 1664 datestone over the cart shed which shows a cock complete with fighting spurs.

We offer a warm welcome to those looking for distinctive bed and breakfast – whether for one night, a weekend or maybe a regular business stay-over. There are spacious period rooms with the emphasis very much on quiet comfort. The breakfast menu offers a very wide choice of local and organic items and is taken in the imposing panelled dining room. Afternoon tea is always available on arrival and supper can be provided by prior arrangement.

Guests may arrive at any time after 4pm. Checking out is by 10.30am.

We welcome both walkers and cyclists - the Macmillan Way and the Battlefields Trail both pass through the village and there are cycle trails through the nearby country lanes. We will fill your flasks and provide a packed lunch by previous arrangement.
